BBU is a new generation of mechanical purging compound designed specifically to clean the screw, barrel and nozzle thoroughly, and to put your machine back to near factory condition. BBU works in injection, blow and extrusion applications, particularly in challenging changeover situations and heavy contamination situations.
There are many traditional purging compounds that simply clean the surface leaving behind carbon, old material and black specs which can cause rejects, bad quality and long increase cycles.
BBU is a unique scrubber compound, combined in a chemically inert, stable polymer carrier which can physically scour the carbon and degraded material from the screw and barrel on passing rather than just push it through. This means a cleaner screw and barrel with significantly fewer clean passes required.
